Royalty-free is spelled R-O-Y-A-L-T-Y, hyphen, F-R-E-E. Write the hyphen when the term sits in front of a noun, as in royalty-free stock photography. It means you owe no ongoing royalties, and on Affordable Stock Photography you owe nothing at all.

Use the hyphen when it modifies a noun; royalty ends in -ty and has no i before the t.
